Dan Young of Sandpoint, Idaho; has donated his time, talent, deejay and emcee skills, along with tons of commercial sound
and light equipment, to make many of Sandpoints events fun and memorable. Known as Bashful Dan to kids and adults he has
provided the soundtrack for many of our best Sandpoint memories since returning home in 1993.
Bashful Dan Young just deejayed and emceed his 15th Lost in the Fifties Street Dance in Sandpoint, Idaho. The annual FREE
to families and kids dance is his personal favorite!
He has played the music for the Cancer Relay for Life every year in Sandpoint. Long Bridge Swim has been treated to music
every year. Free dances at elementary schools in Sandpoint and Bonner County. Northside, Farmin-Stidwell, and Washington
school. Free Sandpoint Middle School and Sandpoint High School dances. He is the one on top of the "Go Dawgs"
black van at Sandpoint High School Football Games playing the pre-game music and performance songs for Dance and Cheer Squads
(rain or shine). Soccer, Relay for Life, Rodeo, Fairgrounds, Junior Miss, Walk for Life, March of Dimes Walk America, Lions
Club Fireworks Show, Patriotic Events, Fun Runs, Duck Races, and so much more. Bashful Dan loves Idaho and especially Sandpoint.
Dan was recognized with the Governor's Brightest Star Award in 2004 for his dedication to Idaho's youth and the Five Promises
to Kids. He was Sandpoint's Citizen of the Year in 2005. Dan is the founder of the Rides Program for seniors and others
in our community. He is the Broker and Owner of Rainbow Realty in Sandpoint, Idaho.
